Description

The Twin Fangs — subtitled Dual Blades — are a pair of short swords wielded in the dual-wielded style. They trade raw power for raw speed: every hit deals less damage than a katana swing, but the swings come so fast that the cumulative damage over a combo string rivals or exceeds a katana's.

This makes Twin Fangs the dedicated weapon for an aggressive, chain-combo playstyle. Where katana play rewards patience — wait, parry, punish, reset — Twin Fangs play rewards sustained pressure: keep hitting, keep the combo going, and let the speed overwhelm the enemy's defenses. The playstyle feels mechanically distinct from the rest of the roster.

⚠️ Pre-Release Source

Twin Fangs' dual-wield profile, fast attack speed, low per-hit damage, and Chapter 2 obtain method are drawn from official previews. Specific combo lists, per-hit damage values, and the full upgrade table will be confirmed at launch.

Combat Profile

Compared to a standard katana like Onimaru, Twin Fangs play differently in three concrete ways:

AspectKatana (Onimaru)Twin Fangs
Per-Hit DamageHighLow
Attack SpeedModerate (stance-dependent)Very fast
Combo LengthShort to mediumVery long
Best PlaystyleRead, parry, punishSustained pressure, chain combos

Moveset

The Twin Fangs moveset is built around long combo strings that reward continuous input. Both blades alternate, generating a flurry of hits that compounds damage over time.

Moveset — To be verified at launch

Combo list, alternating-blade rules, finisher inputs, and unlockable techniques will be filled in here at launch.

Upgrade Costs

Twin Fangs follow their own upgrade path. Per-tier soul and material costs will be listed here, cross-referenced with the Soul System guide.

Per-tier soul and material costs, stat gains, and the full upgrade tree will be documented here at launch.

 Pressure Beats Patience

Twin Fangs reward a fundamentally different playstyle than the katana. If you find yourself wanting to be more aggressive — chain combos instead of single punish swings — Twin Fangs is the answer. Pair it with the Skill Tree's combo-extension nodes (where available) to keep your pressure going.
