All Power Jewel Locations
Power Jewels permanently increase your maximum HP by one bar. There are approximately 10 Power Jewels in the game:
| # | Location | How to Obtain |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | West Town | Chest in the first house |
| 2 | Keep 1F | Behind breakable wall in corridor |
| 3 | Keep 2F | Chest in bedroom |
| 4 | East Town | Roof of inn, climb up |
| 5 | Underground Passage | Hidden room behind bars |
| 6 | Temple | Behind statue in garden |
| 7 | Dark Realm Floor 7 | Hidden in corner of floor |
| 8 | Dark Realm Floor 17 | Hidden behind breakable object |
| 9 | Story reward | Obtained after a specific boss fight |
| 10 | Secret area | Requires all fluorites collected |
Collecting all Power Jewels gives you maximum HP, significantly increasing your survivability in boss fights and the Dark Realm.
All Magic Jewel Locations
Magic Jewels permanently increase your maximum magic gauge by one bar. There are approximately 5 Magic Jewels in the game:
| # | Location | How to Obtain |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Keep 3F | Chest in library |
| 2 | Underground Passage | Dead end at second fork |
| 3 | Temple | Altar room, examine base |
| 4 | Dark Realm Floor 13 | Hidden in alcove |

Magic Jewels are rarer than Power Jewels but equally important. Each one effectively gives you an extra magic attack per fight.
Defensive Accessories and Items
Beyond permanent stat increases, Onimusha Warlords features consumable defensive items:
| Item | Effect | Where to Find |
|---|---|---|
| Herb | Restores 50 HP | Common in chests and shops |
| Medicine | Restores 100 HP | Uncommon, found in later areas |
| First-Aid Kit | Restores all HP | Rare, found in specific locations |
| Power Charm | Temporarily increases attack | Dark Realm and boss rewards |
| Defense Charm | Temporarily reduces damage | Dark Realm and hidden chests |
| Soul Barrier | Absorbs next 3 hits | Rare, story progression |
Stock up on Herbs and Medicines before boss fights. Save First-Aid Kits for the final boss and Dark Realm floors 16-20.
Haori and Cosmetic Items
In the remastered version of Onimusha Warlords (2018/2019), haori (traditional Japanese coats) serve as cosmetic customization options. While they do not affect stats in most versions, they provide visual variety:
Default Haori
Samanosuke's standard samurai coat, available from the start. No special requirements.
Alternate Haori (NG+ Unlock)
Unlocked by completing the game once. A different colored version of the default coat, wearable in New Game Plus.
Oni Clan Haori (Secret)
A special haori with Oni clan markings. Unlocked by collecting all 20 fluorites and completing the game. This is the rarest cosmetic item.
Kaede's Alternate Costume
Completing the game unlocks an alternate outfit for Kaede. Toggle this in the options menu during New Game Plus.
Best Defensive Loadout Recommendation
For maximum survivability, aim for the following loadout:
Permanent Stats (collect all)
- All 10 Power Jewels (maximum HP)
- All 5 Magic Jewels (maximum MP)
- Magic Gauge Level 5 (83 blue souls)
Consumables (carry at all times)
- 3-5 Herbs (for regular healing)
- 2-3 Medicines (for emergency healing)
- 1 First-Aid Kit (for boss enrage phases)
- 1 Defense Charm (for boss fights)
Weapon Choice
- Primary: Raizan (stun effect prevents enemy attacks)
- Boss fights: Bishamon Sword (highest damage, ends fights faster)
Oni Mode
- Always have Oni gauge full before boss fights
- Save for phase 3 of multi-phase bosses
With this loadout, you will have maximum HP, maximum magic, multiple healing options, and Oni Mode as an emergency button. This is the optimal setup for surviving the Dark Realm and all boss encounters.
